About the project
Heads and Tails. Shopping is a spin-off of Heads and Tails (Орел і Решка [Orel i Reshka]), the most popular travel show in the post-Soviet region – broadcast in Ukraine, Russia, Israel and Kazakhstan, with over 1.8 billion views on YouTube. In each episode two hosts go shopping in the same city: one gets a Golden Card with unlimited funds, the other has to get by on $100. The spin-off ran for three seasons, from 2014 to 2016, on Inter and K1 in Ukraine and Pyatnitsa! in Russia.
I directed the "$100" half of the Lviv episode (No. 117), shot in October 2016. It aired on Inter TV on 27 November 2016.
